The Glenbow Museum Capital Project is a complete revitalization, both interior and exterior of the museum built in 1966. This project will be a reimaging of the exterior of the building and will incorporate new cladding and glazing to achieve modern standards and minimize GHG Emissions and assess climate change impacts. The interior of the building will include a complete refit out of all eight floors including three floors of collections storage which will be reconfigured into compact storage solutions. The gallery space will also be reconfigured to provide more amenities to guests including a restaurant, gift shop and unique rentable event spaces throughout one-of-a-kind artifacts. This project will be completed in its entirety in 2024 and has a complete design budget of $150M.
