Neoma is a 10-storey office to residential conversion project located in downtown Calgary. Neoma was conceived as a practical and creative partnership to directly address issues in our city including lack of affordable housing options, depressed economic conditions, and the competition for funding between community organizations. The project represented a holistic approach to housing insecurity for families who need it the most, a call to action to reinvigorate the downtown core, and an investment in the city’s future. Shelter, transitional housing, affordable housing and supports, all under one roof. After just 12 months of renovations, Calgary has one less vacant office tower and 82 more affordable homes. The project was commissioned in September 2022.
