The YW Sheriff King Home Shelter has provided shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence for nearly 40 years. In development of this project, the existing facility was demolished and a new 20 unit shelter was built, in addition to 21 unit affordable housing building, connected with a central courtyard. The shelter facility will also offer support spaces for residents and their children. The adjacent affordable housing building will provide a long term housing solution, offering a mix of 2 and 3 bedroom units.
